Part 1

Amusement Park
It is finally time for us to begin shooting the commercial.
Don’t worry too much. You can always ask me if there’s anything you don’t get, just like during our modelling work.
Um… you too, Raito-san. Though I don’t think you’ll need it.
Haha, no, I’d appreciate it, actually. After all, this will be my first time wearing and dancing in a mascot costume, so I’ll be counting on you.
…It ’ll be my first time too…!
Before we begin shooting, I’d like to give a simple rundown of the characters you’ll be playing!
To start, the character Renga-san will be playing is Bittamon, the face of our park! He’s a dancing monster that is always dancing about and he likes to end his sentences in “-mon”!
Mm, I see.
W-Wait a second! What do you mean he ends his sentences in… huh!?
If we were to borrow your words just now as an example, Bittamon would say, “He ends his sentences in… huh-mon?”
O-Oh, I… Oh, I get it-mon!?
The character Raito-san will be playing is our park’s one and only prankster villain, Gaspoy! He’s a character that uses toxic electromagnetic waves to manipulate the park’s broadcast system so that visitors get brainwashed into wanting to stay forever.
In that case… I assume I’ll be saying lines such as, “I’m Gaspoy-poi!”?
Yes~! Exactly! If you speak with a huskier tone, you’ll have completely mastered the role!
And the character I will be responsible for is…
You’ll be playing the internet sensation, the super popular Cuppuru~! His adorable gestures have completely taken everyone by storm to the point where his new merchandise sells out immediately. Cuppuru~ ends his sentences in “-ppuru”!
Adorable gestures, I see. I have dabbled in dancing and other pastimes of the like in practice and school. However, it seems it will be necessary for me to rework my experiences for this role.
Would you mind instructing me on how to express Cuppuru~’s movements properly? I want to be able to emulate him to the best of my abilities.
Muneuji… You’re really into this.
I’ll have to do my best not to fall behind.
Very well, then please form a light fist with your hands, keeping your wrists facing outwards. And then just like that, give a very cute and adorable hippity-hop ♪
*jumps*
Your hop was a liiiittle too stiff, it’d be better not to do a straight vertical jump!
…Would it be better if I bent my knees more?
(Cuppuru~’s colour scheme and gestures reminds me a lot of Chihiro.)
Muneuji, what if you relaxed your body and expressed more playfulness in your movements rather than focusing on bending your joints?
*hops* Like this?
Maybe… you could also put your hand by your chest, or your face. That way you’ll draw more attention there and be able to show off his cuteness better.
…! Thank you for the advice. Let me adjust my movements.
