Part 2

HAMA House – Horse room
I’m back, Uu-chan. Did you enjoy your books?
…You think I could enjoy anything after that near-death experience?
But, thanks for dragging Idiotake away for me.
No worries. I’m glad I was able to help.
…But god, just thinking about the possibility of an oblivious blockhead barging in on my down time makes me not want to touch them at all.
For starters, we should lock the door properly… And I’ll need to find a place to hide the books on the off-chance that moron manages to break-in somehow.
But the only place possible is under the bed… Or what if I bought a closet to store them…? But they’re usually the most obvious place to look…
And if I suddenly feel like rereading something, it’ll be a pain in the ass to get. Ahh, if only this was my house, then I could just line it up on a bookshelf normally…!
Apologies for interrupting your train of thought, but I might have a solution.
A solution?
This shelf. At a glance, it is just an ordinary shelf. However, if you slide this part open, it will reveal a storage space at the back.
Which means, you can put your books in here, while lining the outer shelf with dictionaries, or textbooks to deter Isotake.
Wow… that’s amazing. Putting aside the fact that it’d be kinda weird if I start decorating my side with textbooks, this is actually a really good hiding spot.
…But, you’re gonna give this to me? Didn’t you buy it because you wanted to use it?
I did, but it is a bit smaller than I expected. Which is why I want you to have it if it will help.
Muu–chan…
Thanks. Looks like I’ll be able to enjoy my down time after all.
(Not only did he cover for me, he went as far as to give me this shelf…)
…
On a different day
I’m home—
—Oh, Uu-chan, you’re here.
Yeah. I didn’t have much to do today.
It is good to take it easy every once in a while.
…Hm? Did you make the chocolate on the table?
…Take some if you want, they’re just leftovers.
Leftovers… In the shape of a planet…?
…
…So it is for the shelf.
Thank you, Uu-chan. Your chocolates are the best in the entire universe.
…You’re over-exaggerating.
