The classroom was filled with snickers. Apparently, I dozed off again. I was up until late last night working on my script, so I came to school today extreeeemely sleep deprived. That’s why I passed out earlier. The modern Japanese teacher had like, this super scary face that drilled holes into me with his gaze as I stood to attention in a panic.
“Tell me, where exactly are we in the textbook?”
“Um, we read up to um… uhhhhh…”
“…”
“uu…m…”
“…”
“*snores*……”
“Don’t fall asleep on me!!!”
The teacher took his textbook and lightly thwacked me on the head, as the entire class burst into laughter. Then he was like “Whatever, just sit down,” so I did while scratching my head… BUT! At that moment, a bunch of ideas about the script just clicked.
“Isotake-kun is so silly, and if you look closely, he’s actually pretty cute as well.”
“No gurrrrl, I get it! Like he’s a Ward Mayor and all, but also the troublemaker that blew up the school? I need to know the tea sis…”
Some people started to like, whisper about me, not that I had the time to care right now. Arrgrhh!! I just wanted to go home and continue working on the script!
“Oi oi, Isotake-saan, ‘s it true you’ve caught the eyes of ‘em high class school elites lately?
During break, my classmates Okabe and Sasaki popped on over.
“Looks like the class weirdo picked up some fans~.”
“Not to be mean or anything, but can you stop trying and let someone else take your place already? It’s for the best.”
“Yeah, a low class, bottom feeder like you should be hanging around people like us.”
“Those girls over there clearly don’t have any taste. They’re definitely gonna get bored of you soon, so I wouldn’t overthink things if I were you, HAHAHA.”
The two cackled as they returned to their desks.
After something like that, I’d usually give them a piece of my mind, but today was different. I nodded my head in response and finished things, just like that! No matter what they say, they can’t hurt me! Because I have a girl-friend now! I have someone there to encourage me everyday! It doesn’t even have to be a girl. Boys are chill as well. As long as it’s someone who has faith in me, recognizes me for my talents, is supportive of me, and is willing to be my friend. I have someone like that by my side now. In the same way, I also have faith in her, recognize her for her talents, am supportive of her, and want for us to be friends—the feeling is mutual. I want to be able to present my very best work to her! That’s why, first things first.

The second I reached the dorms, I immediately flew over to my desk and began intensely focusing on the script. Behind me, Nanaki and Kiroku whispered to each other.
“He’s… really… focused. I mean… I get it… but.”
“Kiroku, you also get like that sometimes when you draw, right?”

EXT. SCHOOL – WATER TANK – EVENING
RHEA LIZE1 stands on the water tank.
RHEA
Someone such as myself… no longer has a place in this world.
Both school and home are horrible, I don’t want to go back. If I keep going… if I walk off just like this…
The KILLER CLOWN appears from behind RHEA.
CLOWN
This sullen expression is unbefitting of a high school girl such as yourself.
RHEA
You…! Are you the rumoured killer clown?
CLOWN
That’s right.
RHEA gives a nihilistic smile and doesn’t move from her spot.
RHEA
This is perfect, kill me. There’s nothing for me to live for anyway.
The KILLER CLOWN approaches RHEA.
CLOWN
You’re a weird one. You want me to kill you?
The KILLER CLOWN sticks a flower into RHEA’s hair and puts a heart sticker on her chest.
RHEA

CLOWN
You see, I live by a code. I don’t kill those who don’t die happy.
Live. Be happy “here” rather than in the afterlife.
RHEA
Ah- Hey! Wait…!
The KILLER CLOWN jumps off the roof and disappears.
After a while, the police arrive at the scene.
POLICE OFFICER
Ma’am, are you okay? We received information just now that the Clown was spotted on this roof…!
The POLICE OFFICER grabs RHEA by the hand.
RHEA shook him off in response.
RHEA
Clown? Why would he come here? I don’t know anything. Challenging national authorities or whatever, I don’t know anything about it!
The POLICE OFFICER was at a loss, sssssssssssssssssssss.
