“D-BATTLE,” the latest trend among the students of Asu High, is an underground, verbal smackdown where challengers duke it out with nothing but words.

A bizarre turn of events leads to Nanaki getting completely owned in D-BATTLE by the girl he rejected. Unable to see the appeal of a world built on trading insults, Nanaki decides it isn’t for him. But just as he’s about to put the whole thing behind him, he discovers that the invincible legend of D-BATTLE, “Diss Emperor K”… is none other than Ushio!

Hailed by the D-BATTLE organizer as the only one capable of standing up to Ushio, Nanaki ends up challenging the man himself. However, there is one problem: Nanaki is a total beginner! So with the help of Akuta and Kiroku, they kick off an intense D-BATTLE training to take down Ushio! Meanwhile, Muneuji, a member of the anti D-BATTLE student council, seems to be carrying out some sort of plan behind the scenes…? Just what will happen in the fateful clash between Nanaki and Ushio!?
